Star Sign was proud to partner with the City of St. George on the new St. George City Hall signage. Our goal was to reflect the city’s character and culture while complementing the architecture of the building. From exterior signage to interior wayfinding, each sign was thoughtfully designed, fabricated, and installed to fully integrate with the materials, colors, and overall aesthetic of the space.
With design, production, and install teams working closely together, our process allowed ideas to evolve throughout each phase of production. Materials, finishes, and fabrication methods were selected to align with and complement the building’s architecture, especially the warm tones and the natural textures of the rammed earth walls. The result is a sign package that feels intentionally built within the environment, rather than just placed in it.
Inside City Hall, brushed silver ADA room signs provide a clean, modern look while ensuring accessibility for everyone, incorporating the City’s sunburst logo through a subtle, cut-out detail.
Adding a playful touch to the interior signage, several wayfinding signs are topped with small metal figurines. These unique details bring personality to the project while maintaining functionality and establishing key navigation points.
One of the most striking features of this project is the illuminated sunburst logo that was installed directly into the rammed earth masonry wall in the City Council Chamber, where halo lighting highlights both the texture of the wall and the logo itself, creating a warm visual focal point in the space.
This design continues outside, where the sunburst logo is also installed directly into rammed earth pylons.
In the surrounding parking areas and garage, flat-cut aluminum directionals provide clear guidance for drivers and pedestrians alike. These signs were designed to still be legible while maintaining visual consistency with the rest of the sign package.
